San Diego Unified School District Supply Center — 487.7 kW Solar Install
The San Diego Unified School District Supply Center is expanding its commitment to renewable energy with an impressive new solar carport structure! We’re building a substantial steel framework on-site, meticulously installing a massive array of 895 high-efficiency 545-watt solar panels. This grand structure will then be carefully craned and bolted to new concrete footings, adding significantly to the existing solar capacity already on site. With a commanding total system size of 487.7 kW DC, this project will provide a colossal amount of clean energy, tied directly into the SDGE 277/480 volt switchgear. Scheduled for completion by Fall 2025, this initiative represents a major step forward in powering the district’s operations sustainably.
