Dingeman Elementary School is embracing a sunny future with a brand-new, state-of-the-art solar array! This exciting project includes installing a new composition shingle roof to provide an optimal surface for 310 powerful 540-watt solar panels. Once connected to the school’s SDGE 208Y/120-volt switchgear, this 167.4 kW DC system will generate substantial clean energy, significantly reducing the school’s reliance on traditional power sources. Anticipated completion by Fall 2025 means Dingeman Elementary will soon be powered by the sun, fostering a sustainable learning environment.
