Carson Elementary School — 144.4 kW Solar Install

Carson Elementary School is poised to achieve optimal solar performance with a brand-new array that utilizes innovative technology. We’re installing 265 high-efficiency 545-watt solar panels directly onto the existing flat roof using the advanced Unirac Grid Flex product. This cutting-edge solution provides a slight tilt to maximize solar production while maintaining minimal or even zero roof penetrations, thereby preserving the roof’s warranty. With a total system size of 144.4 kW DC, this powerful installation will be tied into the school’s SDGE 277/480 volt switchgear, poised for completion by Fall 2025.
